Though performed by the exact same cast, “The Winter’s Tale,” now at the Brooklyn Academy of Music through March 8, is every bit as delightful as its counterpart, “The Cherry Orchard,” was dreadful.

HOLLYWOOD heartthrob Ethan Hawke will be in Singapore for the theatre production of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale next month.

Shakespeare’s moody drama gets a short run in rep with the equally lovelorn “Cherry Orchard”. It’s part of the Anglo-American “Bridge Project”: our Ethan Hawke opposite their Rebecca Hall. Really, the whole cast possesses amazing talent – it’s probably the best cast in town right now. Hopefully, the various styles are harmonized by Sam Mendes, who’s much abler on stage (“Cabaret”) than film (“Revolutionary Road”).
